Moving up in Size
We offer weight guidelines to help you anticipate when your baby may need to move up in size, but the best indication that the time is right is your own gut instinct. If you begin to experience leaks and you’ve exhausted all the troubleshooting tips, it might be time. If you begin to see deep red marks on baby’s skin, marks that indicate the gPants are too tight and you have no room left to expand on the adjustable waistband, it is likely time. You can refer to the size chart below for our general weight guidelines.
Nappy Sizing Guide
for our reusable gPants
- Newborn - for brand new babies 2-4 kgs (6 - 10 lbs.)
- Small - for babies 3-7 kgs (8 - 14 lbs.)
- Medium - for babies 5-13 kgs (13 - 28 lbs.)
- Large - for babies 10-16 kgs (22 - 36 lbs.)
- Extra Large - for babies 15+ kgs (34 + lbs.)
Most babies will wear the size medium longer than the other sizes. And some babies will move up to a size large between 8 and 10 months only to come back down to a medium when baby’s mobility increases. And many babies will be done with nappies completely before the extra large is required. Babies come in all shapes and sizes, so these are guidelines, not hard and fast rules, based on an enormous amount of fit testing and customer feedback. If you have any hesitation about what size will best fit your baby, please contact us. We’d love to learn more about your little one and make sure they get the most comfortable fit possible.
